Not allowed a cat or dog under my rental contract (apart from some holiday visits to be looked after) so what other "Pet" can I have?

To keep me entertained & engage my brain I decided to resurrect my sourdough skills. Or rebuild them. 

I have been looking after my starter all this time...............

For those that don't know, lots of bakers have a tradition of naming their sourdoughs; their creation. Makes it personal. Mine was always known, to me at least, as The Bitch.

That's a weird/strange/nasty/upsetting name to call it Andy!
Not really.
A starter DEMANDS time.
It DEMANDS effort.
Like a spoilt (spoiled?) woman or child. Always nagging, demanding time & effort.
