Walther PPK

We all know who uses one of these don't we.....

Guns in Switzerland

Switzerland has a militia army, and soldiers often keep their service weapons at home, contributing to high gun ownership rates.

Gun Ownership:
    • Permits:
Anyone over 18 can generally apply for a permit to acquire a firearm, with exceptions for those with criminal records or from certain sensitive countries.
    • Restrictions:
There are restrictions on the types of firearms that can be owned, with high-capacity semi-automatic weapons primarily reserved for sport shooting and collections.
  • Military Service:
Switzerland has a militia army, and soldiers often keep their service weapons at home, contributing to high gun ownership rates.
  • Ammunition:
Ammunition must be stored securely and separately from firearms.
Carrying Weapons:
  • Restrictions:
Carrying a weapon in public is generally prohibited unless for specific purposes like hunting, sport shooting, or with a special permit.
  • Permits for Carrying:
Permits for carrying weapons are only granted to individuals who can demonstrate a tangible need for self-defense or for professional reasons (e.g., security guards).
  • Travel:
Weapons for hunting or sport may be carried when traveling to and from authorized locations, but must be unloaded during transport.
  • Testing:
Applicants for carry permits are typically required to pass a weapons handling test.
Overall:
  • High Gun Ownership:
Switzerland has a high rate of gun ownership, but it's a heavily regulated system.
  • Safety:
Despite the high number of guns, Switzerland has a relatively low rate of gun violence, which is often attributed to the strict regulations and a different gun culture.
  • Different Culture:
Unlike the US, where carrying a weapon is often seen as a right, Swiss gun laws emphasize the need for a legitimate purpose and proper handling.

Mr Bond

Great weight - not too heavy, not too light, fits the hand well, grip is good, doesn't show under a jacket and isn't some fucking massive device like a Magnum 44 - Dirty Harry's favourate weapon.

I USED to be able to take one of these apart with just one hand.

MY PPK is gone.

I did at one stage have a conceal licence.

I no longer have any guns.

Knives

I'm okay with a knife. Nowhere near as good as Bob. Not even close. He had REAL SKILL. Butcher.......

I bet that Mia has a similar level of skill. She has all my Globals now. Please look after them Mia but I am sure that is preaching to the converted.

So....

We have guns, we have knives

We also have one of lowest homicide rates.

Father, being diabetic, always had a massive stock of syringes lying around. Single use so needle attached. (Until he got his glass ones).

Air into a vein. Cause a heart attack......Quiet, quick, almost untraceable.
