As the tyre on my bike has been replaced, I thought I'd try it out.

It has special pedals.

One side is normal, the other .... allows one to clip in bike shoes. Which I own.

Which I owned.

I don't any more. They went in the bin.

Lack of practice? Pedals are old?

Who knows. 

Went for a little "test ride". Up a hill.

Gears need sorting out so it wouldn't go to a gear that made it easy. Stood up to put more pressure on. Didn't work so well.

They didn't release when I twisted my foot to get out of them.

Bike fell over with me still attached.
