Trundled off today for a brain scan. See if I really have one.
Weird to do. Lie still in a tube for 30 mins while it clonks, bangs, knocks and rattles around you.
Is it broken? Is it going to explode!? Is it a giant microwave oven? ;-)
Sporting a bandage on my arm from being injected with a contrast medium so that it shows up on the MRI Scanner. My piss will stink later as the blood is cleaned by my kidneys.
Update - It does.
*Gadolinium is a rare earth metal that aligns with an MRI’s powerful magnetic field, but it is also toxic, so in its injectable form the metal is bound to chelating molecules to block its dangerous effects. Most of these molecules are then filtered through the kidneys and eliminated.

I know my brain is bigger than a pea but the condition? Who knows. Time will tell.
I will post when I get the results.
Be interesting to see the scale of damage in there.
